“A Thousand Acres” DVD Screencaps

I’ve updated the gallery with screencaps of Michelle in A Thousand Acres. She didn’t have many lines in this movie, but she was in a lot of scenes, so I think I was able to get some good caps. You might recognize in these caps that her sister is played by Elisabeth Moss from my favorite show, Mad Men. The scenes of them goofing around together are really cute.

Weinstein Co. picks up “Blue Valentine”

PARK CITY — Harvey Weinstein has been given a “Blue Valentine” from Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams at Sundance.

The Weinstein Co. nabbed U.S., Canadian and Pan-Asian satellite territory rights to Derek Cianfrance’s romantic drama starring the pair in a low-seven-figure deal.

WME Global chief Graham Taylor was in an anxious huddle at a restaurant off Main Street well after midnight Thursday with “Blue Valentine” producers (and his personal valentine) Lynette Howell, Jamie Patricof and Alex Orlovsky, (the team behind the 2006 Sundance hit “Half Nelson”) as all-night negotiations were going down. IFC Films and Sony Pictures Classics were also said to be in the mix.

Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams Team Up for “Take This Waltz”

Sarah Polley has written and will direct the upcoming romantic drama Take This Waltz, which will begin shooting this summer. According to Deadline.com, both Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams have signed on to co-star in the upcoming film.

The script, which made the coveted Black List in 2009, revolves around a torrid love triangle. The third member is said to be casting soon. Williams will star as a young woman struggling with infidelity.

The team will head to Toronto this July to begin production.

Sundance 2010 – “Blue Valentine” Reviews & More Photos

I’m happy to report that Blue Valentine has been receiving rave reviews since it’s Sundance premiere. Critics are blown away by Michelle and Ryan Gosling’s performances. Here is a sample of some of the reviews.

I’ve also posted a few more photos of Michelle in Park City and some new photoshoots.

A lushly touching, wrenching, and beautifully told story, directed by Derek Cianfrance with a mood of entwined romantic dreams and romantic loss, it stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams as Dean and Cindy, a young, semi-working-class couple who meet, fall in love, get married, raise a little daughter, and lose their spark, though not necessarily in that order. Among other things, the movie fractures time with elegant originality. (Entertainment Weekly)

A lyrical and passionate portrait of the ups and downs of a relationship between a late twentysomethings couple (we assume), “Valentine” features absolutely stunning performances by leads Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. In fact, in terms of screen time it might be the best thing either actor has done to this point. (HitFlix)

If you thought (500) Days of Summer was one of the most realistic depictions of a young relationship on screen to date this may just well trump that…Blue Valentine has beautiful cinematography, an incredible script and is a devastatingly realistic depiction at how easily a relationship can go wrong, simply because it went wrong. If this film doesn’t get to you, you don’t have a soul. It’s a must-see. (FilmJunk)
